NCCN Foundation Hosts Fundraiser on May 16 at the Junior League of Houston in Texas

The Ballroom of The Junior League of Houston will fill on Thursday, May 16, 2024, showing that we’re Stronger Together in the Fight Against Cancer!

NCCN Foundation is thrilled to host its very first NCCN Foundation Lotus Luncheon – Stronger Together in the Fight Against Cancer.

The luncheon will honor Dr. Roberta Schwartz, the Chief Innovation Officer at Houston Methodist. As a dedicated advocate for those affected by cancer, she is committed to a more personalized and easier health journey for all patients.

Special speaker Dr. Courtney Burnett will share her experience as a physician, patient advocate, author – and being diagnosed with a rare form of malignant brain cancer during her residency. Dr. Burnett’s outlook is inspired by her work in medicine, mindfulness, and Eastern spirituality; she sees her diagnosis as a difficult gift: a gift that teaches us, motivates us, changes us, and inspires us.

This event will support the mission of the NCCN Foundation, and the host committee is chaired by Leisa Holland-Nelson. Leisa inspires others to action with her dedication and commitment to several truly important causes in the Houston area.
