Increasing Access to NCCN Patient Resources

For more than 25 years, the National Comprehensive Cancer Network® (NCCN®) has developed resources to improve the quality of cancer care. These resources include the award-winning NCCN Guidelines for Patients®. The NCCN Guidelines for Patients present expert recommendations in plain language to help people discuss options with their cancer care team. This library of free resources is made possible through support from the NCCN Foundation®

We are very proud that the library of NCCN Guidelines for Patients has grown to include 72 books covering cancer screening and diagnosis, disease specific treatment, and supportive care.

We recognize that there are challenges for people accessing them when English is not their primary or preferred language.  To increase access to the NCCN Guidelines for Patients, the NCCN Foundation has made the following commitments:

  • All new patient guidelines and updates to  existing patient guidelines will have a Spanish translation within 60 days of the English version posting.
  • Foundation staff have increased their efforts to secure funding for additional language translations of the NCCN Guidelines for Patients.

With these commitments, the number of translated NCCN Guidelines for Patients will increase significantly  over the next year.  Translation projects currently planned and funded include:
