Disease oriented, multidisciplinary expert panels of clinician scientists who practice medicine in the leading academic cancer centers in the United States develop the NCCN Clinical Practice Guidelines in Oncology (NCCN Guidelines®). Many of them also have experience teaching and treating patients in middle- and low-resource areas. However, for most, this activity comprises a limited portion of their experience.
In developing the NCCN Framework™, NCCN realized that review by clinicians who regularly practice in lower resource settings is a critical component in creating NCCN Framework™ that are acceptable and useful in these settings. NCCN thanks those clinicians from around the world who have given their time and expertise to review the NCCN Framework™ and provide thoughtful input. The NCCN Framework Committee reviews the input from all international reviewers and update the NCCN Framework™ as appropriate.
NCCN extends its sincere gratitude to those clinicians from around the world who generously give their time and expertise to review the NCCN Framework™ and provide thoughtful input.
Their participation is acknowledged by including the names of international reviewers within the specific Framework for Resource Stratification document.
